Can I tell my creditors that I am "Judgment Proof"?

Can creditor send accounts to collections on receving money?

20 years 1 month ago
Can an original creditor turn the account to a collection agency even if they are receiving regular payments from me? I believe that as long as I am paying to my creditors, my accounts won't be sent to collections and I am not to be sued for anything. Can you confirm this for me?

Anyone heard of Alliance Funding Corporation?

20 years 1 month ago
Has anyone heard of or know anything about Alliance Funding Corporation? I was wondering because their webiste sounds too similiar to alot of other companies that I have seen posted here. I have been pre-approved for a $3000 loan and am waiting for a phone call from them to see what their catch is - such as "insurance" to guarantee the loan. Just wondering if anyone has heard of them and if we should add them to the list of scam companies.

What happens to a person's debt if he dies?

20 years 1 month ago
My parents owe some money to the lender who has been regularly calling them. They are not able to pay this off at the present moment. Since they are going through the old age, I wish to know what happens to the debt if they are no more (God forbid. But, I really have to understand this). They don't have anyone except me and they have not made any kind of will as of now. I am sure that I will be taking care of everything. They do have insurance but I believe that won't be enough. What will happen to the debt if I am left alone?

Know the SOL before paying off a charged off debt

20 years 1 month ago
Hi Creditors report charged off debt to the bureaus. This makes life of the consumers difficult while looking for new credit in the future. The negative remark entered in the file will stay for 7 years from the date the account turned delinquent. If a debt is charged off, it does not signify that you are not legally obligated to pay it. The principal amount will still keep multiplying with all the interests and penalties. You will have to look into the SOL period of the original loan agreement and also the federal law governing collections.

Great One liners
  • Help a man when he is in trouble and he will remember you when he is in trouble again.
  • When rats leave a sinking ship, where exactly do they think they are going?!
  • Careful with that light at the end of the tunnel, it might be another train coming.

"Wanna Insult somebody?" Here a few choice witticisms to let loose on the people you love to hate:
  • Why don't you slip into something more comfortable? like a Coma!!
  • Your brain must feel as good as new, seeing how you never use it!
  • So, are you always this stupid, or are you making a special effort today?!

Someone calling from an unknown number at my home, work

20 years 1 month ago
Does anyone know who's number would be 800-293-1486? It keeps coming up at my home, while I'm at work and they call like 10 times a day and never leave a message. Please let me know, if you find out! Thanks

Allied Interstate practices

I live in Missouri and am very concerned about the practices of this company. I have a bill for under $500 with a creditor that ran late. (Actually it is a cell-phone bill where I co-signed for someone else and the someone else defaulted.) I started receiving calls from allied interstate about the 15th of the month. I must say that their representatives truly remind me of the south end of a north-bound horse! I called the original creditor a few days after Allied had called me, and made a partial payment by check over the phone, which was immediately deducted from my account.
