I am closing my failing business. I have been informed by lawyers that if I do not payback my suppliers that because it is not a secured debt all they can do is get a settlement against me. But I would never lose my home or possessions in the state of Texas. I have considered filing bankruptcy because I also have a few credit cards and medical bills and could include everything in the bankruptcy. But if I wanted to consolidate all my personal and small business debts could I do that without including the one large supplier?

Can I be sent to jail for not paying my debt after filing bankruptcy?

Okay, so I just got off the phone with Cash Today again. These people are driving me crazy. I am getting the run around and they keep passing me to people with names like Mark Andy, Victor Leopard (supposed manager), Jerry Adams (supposed floor manager). They state that they do not have to send a letter of validation because it was a verbal agreement and they cannot provide a contract. And of course they have no record of receiving my faxes. So I am getting ready to send the letter via certified mail tomorrow. So what is next if they do not sign for it at their Reno, NV address?

I've never heard of this before, but I got a letter from Equifax. Quote:
