UCS for Urgent Cash Advance

12 years 11 months ago
I received a call from a "process server" who told me to call 866-215-5579 to update my information with them so he could serve me the court documents he has in a sealed envelop. I called the company which identifies as UCS, however they claimed to be a middle man of sorts and not a collection company. Interestingly enough....the music playing in the background when I called UCS was the same music playing in the background with the "process server".

bad experience

:(I actually used this company several years ago. My experience was stressful, and the claims made were untrue. Only one person (in my opinion) was competent. Again, this is my own opinion, and in no way do I wish to sway anyone, but for me, it was one very hard lesson (in addition to my debt) to learn about getting out of debt. As an aside, several years later, my credit is still poor. The opposite of what some of the claims were.

Paradise Cash Advance I once paid off

12 years 11 months ago
Back in 2009 I took out a loan for $400. They had started taking money out of my account as expected but I tried to call them to get them to remove the total remaining balance. I could never get them to pick up the phone. I was literally on hold for very long periods of time. I contacted my back and they blocked the ACH's. which was suggested that maybe if I did that I would get someone to call me. A while later someone did. Even though I complained that it was unfair that I could not payoff the loan they seemed uninterested and demanded I pay the remaining amount.

PDL Recovery Group LLC

Mr. Ganza called with EWA, that I should return the call before he puts through paperwork for 25% of my salary and suspend my driver's license according to the laws of my state. I returned the call on Monday with the account # given and spoke with Mr. Ganza. He could not find my paperwork, even with the number given, and said he would call me back. He calls today with PDL Recovery Group, does not know who EWA is or what it stand for, that it is another group on the same floor (?).

I have several online payday loans that I no longer can't keep up without getting behind on my bills and I wanted to know what is the worst that can happen to me if I close my bank account and open a new one with the same bank? I live in Texas and have heard different scenarios on what happens if you don't pay whether they are licensed in you state and so forth. I live in Texas and got the online loans below. I just don't want to go to jail like I've heard. I just can't afford them anymore. Please help any information would be helpful.
