I am hoping someone can answer my questions. I am being sued by a credit card company for $2300.00. I have the option, per their lawyers to settle for $1700.00, or $100 a month for 2 yrs. If I choose the monthly payment plan, I still need to go to court so they can obtain a judgement against me. My question is, do I have to decide before court? Or will the lawyers the day of court still offer me those options? Or is it then the judges decision? Also, when the judgement against me is rendered, must I pay the total amount up front?

hi - i have been in a DMP for 2 years with another 2 years remaining. I am choking on my payment and trying not to default. what are my options? do i renegotiate with the DM company or can I call the credit card companies myself and negotiate with them. I tried to workout a payment with them but they did not want to accept the payment plan, so they sold my account to a collections agency. Hello, The other day I received a call from a company called Stephens and Micheals Associates. I have a 4 year old Verizon Wireless debt of somewhere around $500. This company contacted me saying if I pay them $150 dollars by a certain date they will not pursue the full amount. The thing that kind of made me reluctant was that they kept asking for a credit card number over the phone. I told them I would have to give them a call back.

While pulling my credit report, I noticed that there are 4 entries that culmonate from Target NB. An account had been opened with Target (without my knowledge, I have disputed this) and then it is sold to Asset Mgmt (only hitting 2 credit agencies) and AAC (for the 3rd credit agency). As I go on down my report, it shows LVNV opened it in 9/2011. I have disputed it, ask for discovery where I ask for this account to be opened and dealt with the rude phone calls, etc. What can I do???
