Loan Rehabilitation Rehabilitation is a program defined in the Higher Education Act. It is designed to help students to get out of defaulted loans and repair the damage caused by those. Many students are participating in rehabilitation program to regain the ability to apply for another financial aid. A defaulted loan is rehabilitated when the borrower makes, usually, 12 consecutive on time reasonable payments. Once a default loan is rehabilitated, the loan holder will report to the credit bureaus to remove the default status from the account.

I received a payment request from Collection Bureau of America in Hayward, CA on Behalf of Comcast-Chicago. I received this on the 5th, even though the bill in question was paid directly to Comcast on August 16th. Has anyone dealt with CBA Collection Bureau?? Are they going to become a huge pain in my side? I already sent the validation request off to them, hopefully that will settle things, and when they try to validate it they will see its already paid.

I am using T&C as my debt management team. I looked them up on the BBB and they are in good standing. Have you ever heard of anyone having complaints against them?

Can hospital bills be put on your credit report? I have several that have been put into collections because I'm still fighting with my insurance company to pay them. I'm supposed to have excellent insurance, but more often than not they pay very little or none of the bill. I can't afford a $1500 ER visit, so while I wait for the insurance company to settle, the bills go to collections. What is my best bet? I was thinking of paying just $10 or $20 a month on them to avoid any further action.

I recived a call for Michael from Ellis Crosby & Asso today. He said that if I did not send him $2,000 by 2Pm today, he would notify the State Atty's office and they would charge me with Internet fraud for taking out 4 payday loans. I tried to offer a payment arrangement but he would not hear of it and he kept talking over me and yelling at me. In the end I had to hang up on him. So I am not sure what do at this point. Since he refused a payment arrangement. Worried.
