I was contacted via telephone at work on Thursday, 25 August 2005 by a CA RE: an account that the original debt is from the year 2000 [date of last activity].

why is the president making it harder and harder for the public to get assistance these days it is so hard now a days to get food stamps and medical assisant without them saying you make to much i mean some people only make enough to keep a roof over their heads and they live paycheck to paycheck and in two years the social security benefits are gonna be running out so what will the economy do then i mean this is probaly off the subject but it is the truth it is a topic we have to think about

my past bank account is in the negatives from mercantile bank currently i owe them 1,500 and they still have more transactions coming through how do i set payment arrangements up with them so i can get this payed off to where i dont have to keep worrying about it please if somebody knows the answer to this please help me

i received a phone call friday sept 2 at work,,i dont remember her name but she said that if i dint pay my loan i wouldbe arrested at work...she said ;now wouldnt that be embarring in front of your co-workers..i was really upset until i read this website..i told her to go to hell so far she hasnt called me back but i hope she does sherry in texas

I have WAY too many credit cards that I got right away when I was 18 and went nuts on them. I am not even 21 and I am so far in debt. I cannot even afford to make my minimum payments every month so I am getting late fees, OD fees from my bank, etc. I'm especially worried since I have a baby on the way. How do I go about consolodating my debt?

Where is it supported that once a collection is entered into judgement, the entry can stay, but must show as a $0 balance? Somewhere in the FCRA or fdcpa?

With all of the loan scams that are out there preying on people with bad credit, there are some things to remember. I know people get desperate (I myself have been) but be careful when applying for loans or responding to an "approval" offer for a loan. A legitimate lender will never ask for money in advance. It is illegal for them to ask for money or receive payment before the loan is given to you.
