I am looking to buy a house. I have consulted with a few mortgage brokers and have been told so many different things about fixing my credit. My credit score is a whopping 573 :( It has jumped about 73 points since Sept. of last year. But my problem is that I have two repo's and various charged off credit cards on my account. I want to consolidate but I am wondering how quickly would I be able to look into purchasing a home once I begin consolidating. PLease help!!!!!

I too have a supposed bad debt with Bally's. The original membership was started in 1994 in VA. A year later I moved to NM and attempted to cancel my membership as there was no Bally's in my state. Then a few years later I found out that I have this debt. Last month I received another letter from "Tate & Kirlin Assoc." re this account. I've checked my credit report and there is nothing negative, including this "item" on there. So, I'm assuming it doesn't matter anymore. It seems that I should just ignore this issue and hope they give up someday. Would that be a wise thing to do?

What do you do if you receive a collection notice under your maiden name? Should you continue to do business under you maiden name or should you inform the collection agency that you last name has changed?

This is kind of coincides with the problem another poster had with getting creditor to pick up a validation letter. Is it just as good to send correspondence via FedEx? Or is the US Post office just a more legally sound way to things? I would think that FedEx is better because you can track the shipment on-line.

This company does not do consolidation for payday loans as many people have logged, any ideas as to what to do?

We have four payday loans but they are still cutting into our much needed monthly income. Is it best to try to get a consolidation loan to pay them off, or pay them off by taking out less each time they are due? Thank you!

I received a charge on my checking account from usa benefits for 9.95 .I did not authorize this.I received an email from them about 3 weeks ago about receiving a free credit report from them and I emailed them back and told them I was not interested. I think they got my checking account information from a payday loan company that I had used.How can I get my money back.My paycheck had not been deposited yet so I also got a 30 dollar fee from them charging my checking account.I emailed them again but have not received any response.I have never even logged into this site to register with them.
