I'm behind on mortgage and have a huge car loan and do not have the income. The gas co. shut off my gas and I owe this huge phone bill, attorney bill and 1 credit card. I tried to refinance but can't. Is there anything I can do or should I let everything go?

I spoke with a collector the other day regarding a VISA card that I know to be mine. We talked about various payment plans as I am unemployed, and have very little income coming in. We settled on a $50 monthly payment (which I'm not objecting to, $50 is fair and I can afford it). I was wondering how big a mistake I made by authorizing them to transfer the funds electronically from my bank account for 6 months? I don't know if I should put a stop on the payment or what.

I am in a recent battle with allied interstate. I have never recieved any written notifcation about a AMEX bill the has been placed with them. I was looking at your samples letters and wanted to use the validation letter to get this information. I do not know a ref. # or acct. # to use because I have never recieved one. What should I do? And also what is SOL?
