My father passed away in Oct. He had purchased a 2002 blazer and a new motorcyle for me. Unfortunately, they were not paid off. His widow decided not to pay them off. The bank served me a summons to court and charged that I did not fullfill my obligation to repay the loans. I never signed any loan papers. My father signed them. I was not a cosigner---the only connection is that there was a transfer on death title for the blazer. The bank says I am responsible for the amount that they do not receive from the sell and that I must sign a paper verifying that they can sell the vehicles.
