I want to start by thanking everyone on this site for there help. I have been combing through forums for months now, as I look to get my financial house in order. You have helped me get out of payday hell, and also helped me deal with MIdland Funding. Mine is the basic Midland Funding story.... Default judgement against me, shady process service, wage garnishment etc. I filed my order to vacate, and they didn't even show up, so I won by default, and have a new court date. I also sent a motion to MIdland to show documents so I can have them at least attempt to validate this debt.

Need advice on next step. Received court order from small claims to appear possible garnessment for sum of funds ($4,300) to credit card that has been paid in full but didnt save documentation (over several years ago) to prove balance paid. Now sure other than going to re-pull cb if I have and bank statement (but unclear when we would have paid it). I know to be the case since spouse and I don't own any cc all paid off. Please advise. Back in January of 2012, I received a phone call and then a dunning letter a few days later from ARS National Services in reference to a Citibank account of mine. I sent them a debt validation letter within the 30-day window via USPS (CMRRR) and I received the green delivery card confirming that they received my debt validation letter. The letter disputed the claim, requested validation, instructed them to contact me via mail only and elected arbitration. I then got an envelope in the mail on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012.

How to you get accounts that have a zero balance and have been closed for years off of your credit? I have written the companies and request this be updated but no luck

I received a first time call via-phone, from 866-281-4135, saying that I must call them back, I did, this guy answered sounds like Inda, started asking me personal info. I refused to give anything, other then, he had my name,and my phone number, I asked who is the collection from? he refused to tell me, and I told him nothing of myself, he told me to call back when I will give him the information, I will never call them I have no idea who they are or why there calling me.But i have been scammed in the past and I will never give any info.

having troubles with payday loans my husband had a heart attack so i'm the only one working when i couldn't come up with the money i turned to payday loans now i'm having troubles paying them back, i have 5 loans 3 of them 500.00 one was 300 and 450. when i get paid i'm not going to have any money so really i've made my situation worse. do you think you can help me? I just got an email from my mom that they had received a phone call from Ace Cash Express for me. I've NEVER given Ace Cash Express my parents' phone number. I have tried very hard to not let my parents know what kind of trouble I am in with payday loans. Is this legal? Can they phish for family and friends information and contact them without your permission? .....And yes, I do owe Ace Cash at the moment.
