Is DEBT CONSOLADATION good ? I heard from some of my friend that debt consoladation is not a very good solution for all. Is that true? Will debt consoladation affect my credit report in any way? Please help me out. I am very confused. Dont know if i should go for consoladating my outstanding creditr card debt. Thanks in advance Tim

Basically I owe 25000. I am now in school and it has become harder and harder to make payments. I am now only making the minimum payments and had my first late payment ever a month ago, which caused 2 of my cards to raise the interest rate (their the same company) My priorities are set interest rate, lower payment. Which would be best? An unsecured loan or counseling? Thanks for your time!!!

I am looking for advice. I filed Bankrupt 5 years ago and have struggled with debt since. I moved into an apartment, had nothing but 1 credit card and a 23.99% variable rate on it, and a car with 18% interest even with my Dad's co-signature. I did not have much of a choice since I didn't have plates to eat on, or utensils to cook with. I charged it! I live in a truly unbalanced economical area and have struggled to pay my bills these past 5 years. Long story short, after many different attempts to fix our situations, we are in it again.

Actually this is for my daughter. We live in Alabama. She has several credit cards with a total debt of about $25,000.00. She lost her job and has had to take a new job that pays less. She is now making about $8.00 an hour and is having a really hard time making the payments. She has two children that she has to take care of and her husband is not willing to help her in any way. He said that she created this and now she will take care of it. Some of the cards have his name on them but he didn't use them, she did.

How will my credit report look if it reflects debt consolidation conditions? How is your organization paid for your services?

GC Services or GC Services Collection agency seem to be born violators of fdcpa and FCRA .We go to them to consolidate our debts and hope that they follow the book, but they seem to be least bothered about reputation. They always have people to vouch for them.Their services are the worst but I have had no problems of harassment till now. If that too were added the picture would be complete.

Hello. I have a question can a credit collector leave you a message on your answer machine stating that "if you do not reach them that particular day by 5pm they will perform an audit on you?" The guy who called identified himself and who they were calling for and for what but he also added that bit to his message. I was just wondering if he could do that. Especially since the debt was for 1,100. Thank You.
