I have quite a bit of debt. My wife owns a house. If I file bankruptcy, can they force her to sell the house? My name is not there in the house; it's entirely in my wife's name.
I recently found this letter on the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions website regarding unlicensed payday loan lenders. It very specifically states neither principle nor interest are required to be paid back to any payday lender that is not legally licensed in Indiana which would include all tribal lenders. Don’t pay another penny! Revoke ACH with the lender and close your bank account if necessary. Revoke any wage assignments with the lender to avoid them illegally taking money from your paychecks.
I have a negative listing on my credit report. It's an old account. It will drop off in 2020. Should I pay off this debt? Will it help to increase my credit score?
BDPDL presented an electronic check for my full loan amount. My credit union paid the check and charged me the 30 fee. My account is now net. I had put a stop on bdpdl from ach withdrawals before this however I could not close my account due to a neg balance back then. Is there anything I can do at this point to get that money back?
Collection agency is after me for a hospital bill that is 16,000 which is from 2017. Is there any way to get them to agree to a settlement of less than half and get the agreement in writing?
Thanks
One of my credit cards is charged off and some people in the debt collection industry have told me that there can't be any legal charge against me.... Do I still need to repay the balance amount?
My husband has two tribal loans. One is with Plain Green and the other is with Spot loan. Does anyone know if they can garnish wages without a judgment and if that is part of the loan agreement? I am trying to find the original documents and had my husband send an email. Thanks
