My husband and myself have about 40k in credit card debt.My husband lost is job 13 months ago.He is on unemployment and was forced into early retirement due to his age (63) unable to find a job.We do have a savings acct.but in order to keep up with th bills we had to start using our savings. We have been making monthly payments on our credit cards( minimum) we are thinking about bankruptcy if that is our last option.

I took out a loan with National opportunities unlimited. I started slipping with payments talked to them and under duress worked out a 200 bimonthly payment which I just coulndt pay. I paid one and then it turned out to be too much. They called back and are very rudely saying I have to come up with the whole amount and it wil end up increasing in interest to go from $700 to thousands. I would liek to pay it back but cannot do so aqt the rate they want. So far i have paid a total of $375 back to them. I live in NYS and wonder what recourse I have. Thank YOU

Hi my name is Kelly and I have too many payday loans that I can't pay back. They just keep trying to debit my checking account but there is nothing left to debit. I need help trying to settle with these companies so that I can get back on track.

So a debt collector tried to have me served with a civil summons, but the local sheriff here in NC was unable to serve it because I have moved to a different county. I noticed on the website of the sheriff's office where the attempt to serve was made it says the status is "inactive". What does inactive mean? I know that does not mean the case is history. Does it mean the summons gets thrown back to the debt collector, stating it can't be served in the county it was filed in?

Amounts are original loan principal and payments I have made so far. I want to handle this as quickly and efficiently as possible. I have all of their phone numbers and I am ready to call. Good Morning! I'm so confused on the Payday Loan lending rules in PA-. I have 3 loans Ameriloan $1000.00 The seven Group 300.00 SGQLT 250.00 I have just closed my account and going to start the process of fighting them if I can. I have no problem paying what I owe them just can't get myself above water with the interest rates. Thanks for you help in advance,
