Removing Acct. from Credit Reports

13 years 1 month ago
I have been making monthly pmts. to a collection agency in TX (Paramount) and my remaining balance is now only approx. $100. I have not requested a settlement and plan on paying the amt. in full. However, I contacted Paramount and asked if I paid off the bill could they please completely remove the account from the credit reporting agencies - and they refused. They stated they would only notify the agencies as "paid in full" as having it removed would give the appearance the initial debt was not valid or somehow diminish their stature as a collection agency?

Suck

Freedom Debt relief sucked, they didn't have a clue on half the settlements it seemed, When i called they would call back days later, or not at all. Stay away from debt relief companys. Your credit still gets ruined for 7 years.

I fell in trouble with payday loans almost a year ago. I am slowly getting out but need help on a few.... I have already but a hard debit hold on my checking account which was a nightmare to get done at 5/3 bank. What are the laws for Kentucky and any help you can provide on the following: 1. Ashland Payday (Crestwood Marketing) - Initial loan amount was $300 with $90 interest. To date I have paid $120, should I accept their settlement of $300? 2.

A little nervous... Can they garnish my wages?

13 years 1 month ago
Hello Everyone, I took out a payday loan with Western Sky/Cash Call. Biggest mistake EVER!!! I have closed my account and someone called and threatened that they have started proceedings to garnish my wages. I heard in PA that they cannot garnish wages. What if they have a judgement? Can they garnish it then? Does PA even allow judgements to be issued for a payday loan? Another thing is I live in PA (Philly to be exact), my workplace is in NJ, and my company's corporate office is in Arkansas.

Cash Call/Western Sky

13 years 1 month ago
Has anyone ever dealt with Western Sky/Cash Call and getting them paid off? I took out a loan in December and starting making monthly payments of $295 in January. I had them switch my due date to the 15th of the month but with having to close out my bank account at the end of this week, they can't take the money on the 15th. They never send statements to show what the current balance is and how much is applied toward the principal.
