Hi, please help me on this question :) When you have a debt, after filing for BK does this wipe out everything or just you are protected until the day of your filing after ??

How do I get a lien taken off my home when the debt was not mine. It belongs to my X husband. I was awarded the house in June 2010. The lien was put on in Dec 2011. What do I do?

Im not sure what to do, I got a call from a place calling themselves the Ridgeview Mediation Group last week saying they were looking for my boyfriend and that they had a court summons for him, then they gave me the case file number and a phone number for him to reach them back on for more information about his court summons. So I called him at work to give him the information scared to death that he was going to have to go to court for something we had no idea for?

I am dealing with 2 companies right now that want me to settle or make arrangements by end of day TODAY or will move forward with litigation. BTW, I am in California *1 is called RTH Group ( aka RT Group) out of Seattle and they say they dont give out address or send out any information because they are 3rd party arbitration. I received a msg from a blocked number stating from person saying she will serve me and work or home soon.

This company has recently begun calling my home daily. The message they leave names a family member and that they are requested to call back immediately. I never answer the phone and my husband tells me this agency knows that our relative doesn't live here and that they just want to intimidate us into making him call. My question is, if I shouldn't answer the phone and fight with this agency, how do I make them stop calling me?

Yjese people cal say we owe a debt and when we send a payment they will send proof. Well, I got our credit report and the debt is not listed anywhere. I spoke to a Consumer law attorney and he says just a scam. they can get info from anywhere. he says ignore what do I do?

I had multiple online payday loans which I had paid on and was renewing hoping to catch a break and be able to pay them off. Instead the opposit happened and I just dont have the money to pay them anymore. My bank was hitting me with NSF fees on top of it and I had to close the account. Now I am getting phone calls of wage garnishments and possible law actions against me. I live in the state of PA which someone had told me it was illigal for them to give PDL in the state of PA. Just worried as I can not afford to be arrested of have anything bad happen to me.

We have established payment plans with Chase (directly) and Amex (through Zwicker) and have been current for 6 months. Within the next 60 days we will have access to an amount of cash that we'd like to use to settle these two accounts. Not enough to pay them off, but should be enough to be able to settle them both. My question is how to we go about getting the best settlement? Should I continue to pay the payment plan until we have the $ in hand and then contact to start discussing settlement?
