I received a letter from you advising me that you are unable to approve my application for a credit card with NY & CO. I would like to know the reason for this. I have never been refused a credit card in my life. My credit score is very high. I have several credit cards but only use the ones I do business with. Please contact me regarding this issue. I'm drowning due to my credit card debt. I only have a little over 7,000 in CC debt but I also have a $500 installment loan and have been riding the vicious payday loan cycle for months. I work two jobs and am a single mother. My son will be 16 in September and I know I will need to help him with purchasing a vehicle in the future so I'm concerned with ruining my credit. I've done some research and apparently I won't be able to negotiate with the credit card companies until I stop making my credit card payments. I have never been late since I fixed my credit around 5 years ago.

Does anyone know if M&T cashes personal checks without an account and what the fee is ?

I have 3 PDL that I applied for just recently (ie. a week or 2 ago) 1. Eastside Lenders ($500+$255 fee), 2. Discount Advances($1000+$255 fee) and 3. Triple Services ($300+ $90 finance) Also, I got a deposit in my account from Hydra in the amout of $300 today and it was unsollicited. After finding out they are illegal and seeing all these horror stories I closed my bank accounts.accounts. What are my recourses to these lenders. I called the NY State AG office and they said PDLs are illegal in NY I am in a BIG mess.

I stupidly got another payday loan online from united cash loans and after some financial changes and having to move from Missouri to Indiana to care for my parents, I can't pay this loan back and am having hit left and right at my bank....I saw the stuff posted about the lawsuit from the federal trade commision but my immediate issue is stopping this hole I'm sinking in. First is there any way to stop their attempts to pull money without closing my account since what little paychecks I get go into it? If not please give any advice on what I need to do with this problem. Thanks

hello! i was contacted by a so called state of attorneys office Mr.Pickett today at my employers office and when he called the first time i hung up phone so he called back and asked for a supervisor. my supervisor got on the phone with my administrator and he was telling them i was going to be served at my employers and be arrested because of nonpayment of a payday loan. I live in Florida. i called our county's attorneys office and they told me i didn't have any charges at this time so do you think this was a bogus call?

I am drowning in credit card debt, unemployed (hoping to change that soon), and have some student loans as well. I know that when one stops paying credit cards it is best to stop paying them all at the same time. Does it matter if I continue to pay the student loan? I don't want credit card companies to see I am paying my student loans and decide to not work with me.

I need some serious help. Got a letter stating I owed a previously paid off debt. They called me on the 20th and stated that they sent me a letter on the 18th, I owe them money for Directv. So, they misspelled my name. I pointed that out to them and they said it didn't matter bc the ssn was the same. They said that it wasn't a legal document and credit reporting didn't go by anything other than ssn. I disagreed with her bc in fact they go by names that are "close" and ssn that are similar. The called me a liar and I shouldn't believe everything I see on TV.

I sent out letters to the PayDay Lenders. I received 2 PIF Letters however I am still waiting for 4 more responses. Two of which I sill owe money on the principal. $190 on one and $80 on the other. What should I do next?
