What happens if you have a second mortgage on the property you are about to lose?

I saw a lawyer regading chapter 7. I expalined the Pad day loans scene that I am in. I told him that one is legal in my state the other are not. He suggested to close my account. I once again told him about the legal one and one payday loan is new. I asked him if I could use his name to refer him. He said yes because he knew I would pay him. Well anyway he aslo new that I was waiting till I paid him which we estimated to be around 6 months and the difficult of getting my husbands pay stubs. Now he says that he does not want to be bothered with their phone calls for months etc.

I recently signed with a debt consolidation company to reduce $33,000 worth of credit card debt. The debt was accumulated due to my husband's mismanagement and I ultimately divorced him. A payment schedule was arranged and the company is in process of negotiating with the credit card companies. The credit card companies recently cancelled two of my cards and I only have one remaining. My credit score is very low. My question concerns whether or not I would be better off filing bankruptcy instead of working with the debt consolidation company.

I took out 4 pay day loans while studying abroad this semester to help cover expenses and fees that I did not have the funds to cover for at the time. I closed the bank account associated to the loans today, so I'm looking for any advice for what to do now. Any help would be appreciated! #1. are they licensed in La. they sent me an e-mail 2 months ago stating i've made the final payment. but every since then they been withdrawing money out my account!!! i've asked for my summary on the loan, they didnt response!!! what should i do??

I also have several internet loans out also. And one of them is sds processing. I am trying to get there phone number but can't find it anywhere. I am having payday rreleif help me out but if i can't find there number any where then when they go to take out the money they won't get it because i just closed my checking account out today and i will never get these payday loans ever again.

I was given a washer and dryer for no exchange of money. Does this have to be included in my assets? What about my mom's piano that is living at my house for the time being?

ok i'll start with the question and then give the math - what amount is recoverable by a collection agency for a personal beneficial loan? If, for example, I take out a $10k loan, the terms of repayment are 60 months at $300/mo which means I will pay a total of $18,000 to repay the loan. If I default after making 20 payments ($6,000) what amount is recoverable? Is it $12,000 (the repayment amount of $18,000 less payments of $6,000)? I'm thinking that's how it would go, since I can't think of a logical alternative. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance...

are they a legit company?

6 years ago my american express card was charged off. AMEX never sold the account to anyone and I had been trying to work out a payment arrangement with them but they would not budge. Well, yesterday was the 6 year anniversary of my last payment so the SOL has expired. Found it rather odd that an OC would let the SOL expire on a debt. I really did want to pay it but they never wanted to work with me and kept asking for insane monthly amounts.
