I received word today that the Pennsylvania Department of Banking is beginning an investigation into Western Sky/Cash Call. I strongly urge any Pennsylvania resident who has been a victim of these companies to contact the Department of Banking at (717) 772-3889 and provide them with information you have pertaining to these lenders, especially if you have retained good documentation of your loan agreements, email correspondence, and home mailings.

We were discharged from a bankruptcy 12/09. We included a company named Hilco Receivables in the bankruptcy. They placed a judgement on our credit records then sold the bad debt to a company named Equable Ascent Financial/EAF. Equable agreed after a lot of telephone calls that Hilco should not have sold them this debt. They said that we should pay them and let Hilco (a collection co.) pay us back. We are trying to obtain a mortgage, and even though Hilco was included in the bankruptcy they still have a judgement on our credit, which could cost us the mortgage.

I sent ACH revocation letters and my state attorney sent letters to paydaymax and mycashnow. I closed my bank account so they couldn't take anything out. I overpaid on both in interest/fees. They are illegal in Maine. But now I can't log in to look at my account to see if they are making it PIF. What does this mean?

Hi, I had a loan from Magnum cash and after a few months of paying, the pressure got unbearable. I got information from this site that they are illegal lenders. Now I am getting 20 calls a day on my phone with someone by the name of Norman Taylor telling me that I am going to face criminal charges in West Indies and I'm going to be extradited unless I pay $1875 in 3 days. How can this be true? I am worried sick. Please help. Jarvis
