Hi, I got a letter from JA Cambece last year and I sent a Debt Validation request in a certified mail with return receipt request. I received the receipt and I still have the copy. But JAC did not validate my debt till now. Yesterday I got another letter with the following details: Dear xxx, As you know from our first letter, we represent ANJ, INCORPORATED. After further review of your account our client has decided to approve you for a temporary minimum monthly payment arrangement.

I started getting phone calls on my cell this week from Convergent. It is an automated call and they ask for me by name.When I confirm that it's me they are calling, I get transfered to a person who asks me to confirm my social security number and address. When I tell them I won't give out personal info without them telling me what it is about they hang up. Today I got a collection letter saying I owe $10,687 but they will settle for $1,068. I have no idea what this is.

Can collectors take legal action?

I got a phone call from NCA and also got a letter from them. Stating I owe a ridiculous amount of money. What can I do? I have been on here before and i got into this pay day loan scheme of things and now I am just trying to get back. I thought they were a good thing but unfortunatey I found out the wrong way that they are the worse thing ever to happen to a human being. I am inaquiring about this since I want to be free and clear of all this garbage. Please someone givee me advice. Thank you

What was the actual debt amount?

I have 2 garnishments. Can they take out both garnishments at the same time? One of the garnishments have been adjusted so I could have money to live on. Is there something in the law books that says anything about a 'Special Order'?
