I came across this forum today and it couldn't have come at a better time. A few months ago I took out a few payday loans to cover an unexpected expense. I was able to pay the loans back right away. A few weeks later I again had to rely on these loans and unfortunately could not pay them back like I had plan to. I am now in an extremely stressful financial situation that I am desperately needing to get out of. My bank account is overdrawn due to overdraft fees and bank charges and these loans are getting debited and I have no income left because my check is directly deposited.

we had a loan with HFC they tacked on a ridiculous amount of fee's etc and a 7,000 loan into a 15,000 balance. intreast was added. I argued with them for months... long story short my payment went up by 100 and we paid it down some. the loan is in default now and I received the letter telling me we have to pay $12,000 to pay debt off. I dont have that kind of money. my credit has taken a huge hit bc of this debt..... what happens next? will they sue me? take out a judgement. JPF agents are ruthless and horrible. Just dont know what to so now

It seems like something is wrong with the website lately. The search box at the top doesn't seem to work (there is no search button and when I simply press "enter" it doesn't work either.) Searching the forums is a very important way to navigate the forum and it's difficult to use without the feature working. Is this just me that this is happening to or are others experiencing this issue? Also, there is a small box that links to the homepage on the left side that seems like it should be an image, but it is just a box on my screen.

Ok, so i got a root canal and the guy that did the root canal sent me to a debt collector. I owe $510.00 and I am not paying that. I have offered them $150.00 to settle this case and they say "NO!" This was back in November of 2008. I live in Nevada. How much longer do I have to wait for this to disappear? Can they sue me still? Is this just another hardball tactic on a debt collection agency?

I received a voice message at work today from a Mrs.McGary and she said that I had a debt and they were going to garnish my wages. I called the number she left 877-601-5871 and spoke to Dr. Garza. He said I had received a direct deposit loan from PayDay loans and when they tried to collect direct from my checking account that either the account had been closed or I had stopped payment. He also said that information had been sent to my house and retuned by mail.

I need some help please.. I received a letter from small claims court. It has the Plaintiff as Midland Funding being represented by Howard Lee Schiff Law office. Up until this point I have received a collection letter from another collection agency and I was never notified from Midland that they now hold my account. I also never received any thing from the law office that they have my account or they were intending to sue me for the balance. I live in Massachusetts.

4 years after a filled a police report for fraud and took care of sending all the company the police report information now I get a collection notice from MCM and I send MCM a registered mail letting them know that is was fraud with the police report number officer's name, badge number and the city it was filled in because I don't live in that city anymore. Got another letter from MCM for payment again.Please tell me how to take care of this

I have been reviewing all the comments and they have been extremely helpful. I am a resident in the state of MI. I have taken out the following payday loans thru the internet - Plain Green, Great Plains Lending, Eastside, Bayside, Accelerated Payday, and One Click Cash. Foolish yes I know. I got over my head and overextended. I have no problem paying back the principal in what I owe. In fact for Great Plains - my loan was $600 - I have paid $563 to date. They say I still owe $463.
