Not sure what to do now - Please help

First, thank you for this website :) I sent my ACH revoke letters out, closed my account, so far so good. Regarding the legal lenders (I have 4) for example GoCash.com. I live in Texas and took out a $400 loan back on 9/23/11. To date I have paid $2400, and they're telling me my balance is $277 to pay the loan off. GoCash is considered a CAB (another name for CSO in Texas).

Legal lenders and how to deal with them?

13 years 2 months ago
Thank you to all for this site! I feel like I have taken next steps to getting my life back on track. I have closed my bank account and sent out the ACH revoke letters. Now I'm in the process of figuring out how much I have paid, and which lenders are legal and licensed in my state (TX). So any suggestions of how to deal with the legal lenders where I owe principal as well as interest? So I'm assuming I need to go look at the original contract and figure out what the total amount due is? For instance, GoCash.com.

The calls and emails have begun

Ok so on 5/4 I sent ach revocation letters to my 3 illegal payday lenders in MD, which included Idealgelt, Shoreline, and MB Marketing or Processing. My bank account has a hard block on it so they could not debit my account this week. Today Idealgelt called me at home,on my cell and at my job even though the revocation letter asked them not to do so. I just resent the revocation letters to both of these lenders informing them of a payment arrangement of $50 a month toward the principle only. Is there anything else i should do if they call me again?

Plain Green Help

13 years 2 months ago
First let me start off with how glad I found this site. This forum has been so helpful with educating me on my rights! Ok so I have a loan out with Plain Green. This is my second loan with them. When I found out they were illegal, I immediately send a revocation letter and requested that they apply the overpayment I made on the first loan to the principal balance on my current loan. They replied back with this: Dear Ms.

Calling us without identifying themselves only to later...

claim that we agreed to open a file? I know it's against the law, but I record all calls made to our home because we have minors and I will do anything to protect them. I kept asking for the caller to identify who MRS was, but he refused and ignored my constant questioning, and eventually hung up on me. I kept repeating my legal name out loud and saying, "...and I have not agreed to anything, nor approved anything, nor given consent to open any file, etc.

I received a letter from the IRS saying a 1099-C form had been turned in on my 2010 taxes. I had a foreclosue in 2001. the 1099-c that was isued says sale date of 12/31/2010. Can the bank date it like this? Can they go back and do this 10 years later? I also believ the house was sold for what was owed. Can i require a settlement statement from them on these charges? What if they can not provide the documentation for this claim?

I need help

I have taken a loan out from Cash Call to consolidate all my other payday loans in the amount of $2600.00. This one was taken out by the internet and I am in the state of Colorado. My first payment was due March 15,2012, before this payment was even due I had made $1000.00 in payments back to them already. Then when I went to get my balance from them the day of my payment date my loan was already back at $2600.00. The interest rate is somewhere around 131%. I wanted to know is this legal to have an interest rate that high.

Check n Go

13 years 2 months ago
I recently have not been able to pay my Check n Go account.....I have moved from where I had it originally and they are calling me for the money. I told the my situation and told them I have even moved and given them my new address out of state and I have not had anything as of yet in writing to my new address as where my debt stands. The supervisor where I originally gotten it is an a$$ and says if its not paid in full they will take whatever they can to make the debt up to date. Is this right? I thought it goes to collections after I can not pay by the date they tell me?
