I took out a loan from Ace Cash in 2006 and after paying it off over a few months I had to fall back because of financial hardship. Since 07/05 I have been getting calls from Pentagroup and they have been very rude, asking me to pay $2100 by 30/05 or I would go to jail for refusal to pay a debt. I don't have that kind of money and I am absolutely powerless. Is there anything I can do? I live in TX.

I am from MI and I have payday loans with Hydra Financial and VIP Loans. They keep debiting $150 out of my bank account every 2 weeks. I can't keep this up for very long. Are they even legal in my state?

I'm 69 & have never been late on any credit card or payment due. I was laid off March, 2009 & can't get a job. I retained an attorney to file Ch. 7 as all I have is Social Security & limited IRA. No relatives at all. In Manhattan, NY NY, I've had my rent stabilized apartment (by law) since 1974. A Trustee got an idea about a year ago & decided to monetize rent stabilized leases since nobody ever exempted that. He seized the lease from the tenant's estate, as it is called, & sold it to the owner/landlord who then proceed to evict the tenant and get market rent that would not be stabilized.

I had an old Washington Mutual credit card I got in trouble with back in 07. Sometime in 2008 CACH purchased the debt. It has always shown up on my credit report as CACH. Back in Nov 2011 I receive a letter from Pentagroup trying to collect. The letter list Washington Mutual as the original creditor and CACH as the creditor. I sent Pentagroup a verification / cease and desist letter which they ignored. They called me again about the debt and I ended up suing them and won $1,000. Yet Pentagroup never showed up on my credit report and CACH to this day is still reporting the debt.

I live in TX and have some medical bills in KS that has been passed on to collection agencies. There is no way I can afford the payments they request and the interest they want to charge me on the principle. I have read on the internet that they only have 4 years time to sue me from the date I made my last payment on these accounts. Also after seven years of no activity, it will be removed of my credit report. They post a KD on these accounts on my credit report every month. Does these postings count as activity???

My significant other received a voice mail intended for me...from a Dennis Boyd, stating that he was notifying me that I have 2 pending lawsuits he was going to serve me with. But if I called 888- 227-2017...the plaintiff, I could avoid being served with a summons. This number is for "Landmark", which I am not familiar with. The original phone number the call came from is 720 708 1000 which I have found is a number being used for a lot of fraudulent calls. Is anyone familiar with Landmark or the 720 phone number?

A judgement was filed against me in 2007. I know for a fact that the amount is wrong. First I never recieved a court date to appear. So I dont know what to do. I know it is ruining my chances for a mortgage.
