Hi, new to the community and i saw some Amex post. I currently owe about $1,200 on a old amex card that was charged off years ago. I got a settlement letter from them and was considering to settle but decided to pay off the full balance.(they don't know it yet) I want to pay in full so the CHARGE OFF on my credit report can change to PAID IN FULL. Now can i trust that if i pay off the balance they will do this?

I was emailed a dunning letter from RE Group, on behalf on CMG group. I don't even remember taking out a loan, I had so many at one point, but my question is, what do I do? I sent them a debt verification request after they called my job and emailed me. I also filed a complaint with FTC and went to the GA board of licensing, is there anything else I can do? They are threatening to have me "served" I am sure this is illegal, right?

I'm assuming I'm receiving these calls as a result of dealing with the a-holes at MyNextPaycheck. I received a lovely (private/blocked) call from one "Jan Warner" stating service of process, writing bad checks, blah, blah, blah. All the usual BS they spew trying to scare folks. Little does she know I have worked in the legal field for years. I know how to look at my court's docket system to see if anything has been filed against me. Of course there hasn't. LOL Anyway, Jan Warner called and left this number: 888-208-2788 stating that I can call the number to work with them.

My mother is a co-signer for my niece student loan, unfortunately my took sick with 6 bypass and is unable to send money for this debt, i daughter will repay the loan in an payment agreement but when i spoke with mrs assoicate debt collector, i was told that i had to put down $700.00 this month and $200.00 monthly,i cant put down that much but i can agree to pay 350.00 this month and $350.00 next month and $150.00 monthly. The collector was rude and said that my mother would have to find other means in paying this money back. What should i do.

I have been summoned to appear in court by a third party ( they bought the debt from washington mutal) My question is should I appear? . I know i owe the money, but i have no job and no income. I live with a family member who is supporting me. I do not own anything in my name. Will they garnish my social security when I am old enough to receive it?

Hello all, I had some questions regarding Plain Green Loans service. I took out a loan with them for $600.00. I've been making payments of $113.00 every paycheck, which is twice a month, for a monthly total payment to them of $226.00. I've only made two payments thus far. I just recently got a car and am currently making payments on the car and with this extra amount of money coming from me every month is crushing me. What actions can I take as far as only paying the principal and possibly reducing the monthly payments? Thanks for any and all responses!

I keep getting calls from a Nicole White telling me she has papers to serve me and that they are bringing charges against me. She even called my boss and was completely rude and ignorrant she called again and told me she wanted to meet me outside so she could show me what they do with people like me and that i'm just a low-life skumbag. I was completely appalled she always calls from 314-754-2051 when you call the number back it says that it is unallocated.

About 2 years ago, my husband and I both lost our jobs. We went from 6 figure income to nothing. We had savings and used our 401k just to keep our house and keep up on the bills. We are both working again but making about $25k less than we were. We sold everything we could to keep up on the bills but have fallen behind on the one credit card bill with Citibank. About a year ago we got a letter saying they could lower the interest and therefor lower the payments but when I called they said we did not qualify for that program and nothing else.
