the department of education sent me a letter stating that wage garnishment will take effect but I haven't worked for that employer for a month now. my loans are deferred because I am in currently in school. Right now I have been looking for a job but with no luck. I have applied for unemployment but I haven't heard from them yet. I set an email to that department. What do I do? What will happen? I live with my parents, and they are helping me right now until I graduate.

i need some advise on getting 2 payday loans and 3 secured loans paid off. i cant afford the regular payments anymore. what can i do legally without getting into further trouble. i cant get a debt consolidation loan either due to my credit rating.

a company called me about getting a gift card to use anywhere online at walmart,target etc. they were supposed to send me a email with the link to it. for cancellation they gave me the numbers 18882359042 and 18886452558. but, when i call them they are closed till monday. the name she gave me was Usa Benefits.. the number she called me from was 2063378731. i call it back and just get a busy signal.. what can i do, and has anyone heard of these numbers?:mad:

We took a loan from One-Click in January. At this point we owe only 50.00, following the great advice in this forum. They called today, my husband explained to them that these loans are not legitimate in CT, we owe only the principal and with everything we have paid, we owe them 50.00 now, and could they send us an address to remit payment? The man replied "We don't do business in CT." which is a ridiculous answer. Then he said we owe 700.00 or go to collections. Any advice? Thanks for this terrific forum.

Hi, I live in the state of South Carolina and I borrowed money from Loanshop/Dayton in January. The original loan amount was only $300. After sitting down and figuring this out, I have already payed them the amount of $898 and they still show no signs of not drawing from my account. I want to know if this was legal in the state of SC. I even sent an email to them, which I have copies of, stating that I didn't want the loan since I seen how much interest would be charged against me. I also got an email back from them stating that the loan wouldn't be taking place, but they did anyway.

I have sent out my revocation letters and am going in the morning to close my account but I am wondering what I need to say to the AG or FTC when I report these businesses. This site has given me the strength to get out of this vicious cycle I just hope that I can pull through.
