Why do these clown not have to prove they sent a account notice to inform you that you got 30 days to respond to a debt. I seen cases were they send a back dated letter 3 months later after first contact, Kinda hard if you try to send a validation letter and they don't responded., it seems like the burden of proof is on you and not the scum bags. the law should make them send it registared.

I took out a loan back in 2010 with paydayone, when I had fraud on my bank closed the account. I tried logging into the site to set up payment and my account had showed closed. Last week I just received a call from a National Check recovery person wanted to serve me paperwork to appear in court. I called and they told me it was due to my check fraud and can set up payment plan to pay over $800-$900. I am in the state of Texas, can they really take me to court? The original loan was $500 and I know I made atleast one payment or possible more, but they didnt reflect that.

i got a payday loan in dec 2008. it was online and the company name was money and more. my account became overdrawn and the payment never came out. a few days ago i got a call from california that they are going to press criminal charges on me unless i pay over 400 by the end of the month or over 600 of i want to make payments and pay of by the end of next month. they said there is a 250 monthly fee for it not getting paid off by this month. i live in ohio and i would love to take care of it but the original lender is out of business.

I wanted to share with the forum that LoanPointUSA has agreed to refund me $3500 and send me a PIF notice. It took me over a year and many emails to finally get them to give me the refund but they folded in the end when they found out that I was going to file a law suit against them. I can not thank all of you on this forum enough for all the advice and help that you gave me to get out of the payday loan nightmare.

Anyone have experience in dealing with Compass Bank at all? Their people are very, very rude even on a 30 day late..... Any possibility of a hardship program? or settlement?? Any info will be helpful.

I am being told by others that have settled their CC debt that there is a way to settle for less than the full amount due and the creditor will report as paid but NOT include the wording 'for less than amount due' and the balance is showing as $0 - How is that getting done?

Hi everyone, I received a call from United Recovery Systems regarding an account of mine that was supposedly overdue - only I had never opened the account, and they had the full name, social security number, address and place of employment incorrect. It seems that someone with a name that resembled mine gave my phone number out when opening this card and then defaulted on the card. URS has apparently escalated it up their management systems as fraud, but is there anything else that I need to be concerned about? Thanks all for your help.

I got a call from this company arrowhead loans saying if an unpaid debt with them n said I used an account from chase bank I knew they were lying because I never had an account with chase bank but the dude got n had my social n everything. Pls can some tell how to deal with this because he knew to much about me
