Quick question because I have read conflicting info. When writing a Debt Validation letter to a credit agency can I ask if they are licensed in my state to collect and may I ask them for their license#?
Thanks
I sent a debt validation letter and I recieved a response 4 days later from the CA they are requesting more information (ssn, previous name, previous addres, phone number) what should I do? I put my married name and just the acct number they provided on my credit report? They were missing 4 digits! Now what? Should I provide all the information?
Late last year I was contacted by a collection agency named "Financial Management Services." The CA is contending I defaulted on a student loan in 1985. I would like to outline some particulars and get some advice and opinions.
I don't have the paperwork in front of me but the total owing is about $7k. About $2k of that is principal, $1k in collection costs and the remainder is interest.
I definitely attended the school the CA is talking about. I left the school in 1979 and had attended on the GI bill. I have absolutely no recollection of borrowing any money to attend the school.
Hi - I am new here and in desparate need of help. I have an Am Exp acct that I am late on and have received a "Balance Due" statement from GC Services Limited Partnership Collection Agency out of Houston for the full amount owing to American Express.
A little background - I am in real estate in Arizona and have been for 35 years - until the real estate collapse in 2008, I had never been late on any CC or debt or loan and had 35 yrs perfect credit. Needless to say my income has been spotty being on commissions, and there have been times when I had no income for periods of time.
If someone would be so kind to tell me if they have had any success getting paydaymax to refund fees for their illegal loans? Also, what does anyone have any email addresses to email my letters too?
Here are the loans that were taken,
first loan Paid 1000 back on 1000 loan and 877.00 on fees
2nd loan Paid 800 back on an 800 and 610.00 on fees
I would appreciate anyone responding that has had luck getting this company to respond and send the money back?:(
Here are the loans
I recently and reluctantly obtained 2 payday loans, but now I realize with my income that I can not afford the finance charges or the pay off with out neglecting my household bills. I was looking at the threads about how to get out of debt with them but I am still confused. I am very apprehensive about finding a payday loan relief company online to use.
I have graduated and paying on my loans for close to a year now. I can make payments as they stand right now, but they chew up so much of my income that I don't have much left over. I am trying to save up to move since its way over due (I'm 27 now, but wasn't feasible until recently(finally got a decent job instead of 2 part time minimum wage ones like I had.)
I got notified about the special Federal consolidation program, that I am eligible.
I can't respond to my thread, so making a new one (sorry!).
I'm an Ohio resident, and took out a loan with Western Sky in February for $1000 + 500 origination fee.
Immediately sold to cash call.
Sent them the "you're illegal" letter.
email from them customerservice@excelmanagement.biz
I cannot find a physical address. When I searched "Who Owns this Domain" it said it was a proxy server and had an address in Scottsdale, AZ
Has anyone heard of them?
