Im so glad for this forum. Its good to know Im not alone. Im trying to get rid of this debt. Im wanting to settle at least 4 of my cc's. HSBC @ $1678. JC Penney @ $800. BOA @ $1715. GE Capital @ $1715. The balances look rather small compared to some of the others on the forum. However, we just have too many cards w balances. I have a few other cards but i can pay those because the pyments are reasonable. Its just so hard to not have money for emergencies. Very scarry. I used to be with CCC, but had to get off due to the high payment. $765 a month.

I was hoping to get some advice with regard to potential filing for BK. I currently owe about $55,000 in cc a car at $380/mo (maybe $2000 in equity - if lucky) A house with $0 equity I have for assets standard household furnishing - nothing special and 2 free and clear cars. One is mine worth $7000 and the other my wife worth $12,000. I have $15,000 in an IRA that I am starting to cash out - was $20,000 6 months ago. I see the handwriting on the wall - I am sinking and I hate it.

I received a call from a collection agency about a debt from 2003. They are threatening to report it on my credit report. I never admitted that it was my debt and told them that the statute of limitations applies. They then told me that I mad a payment to them last april and now the statute of limitations extends to 2017. I never made a payment to them. I asked for proof that I paid on this account and they said they will send something to me. I have not received anything yet. Should I worry? What can I do? Thanks

I have a storefront loan through Cashland. I know they are members of CFSA, so I called about an EPP. I've had an EPP through Advance America before, so I assumed Cashland would have the same terms of four monthly payments with payments beginning on the next due date following the date you set up the EPP. But Cashland said they require the loan to paid off in three payments, and the first payment is due on the date you set up the EPP. They also charge a 5% "late fee", which Advance America did not do.

I live in the state of PA and I have like 6 or 7 pdl's all out at once. I know I'm a moron but it got the point where I'm supposed to have a over a 1,000 dollar paycheck but by the time there done taking what I owe them out of my account im down to almost 200 bucks and none of that is going towards the principle. I have paid back the principle amount on some of the pdls but some I have not yet. What would happen if I close my account and have my employer send me a paper check.

Well I have conquired the PDL's online and store front. Now I need to start on the credit cards I have. Right now I have Homedept 2,500, Lowes 500, Target 500, Orchard 400, Sears 1,200 and Capital1 500. I know i bet myself up all the time. the total monthly payments are $275 a month. I am struggling so bad that I barley can pay my bills and ended up 1 month behind on my house payment for the last 6 months. I really need to get on these and am in need of some advise on where to start. at the rate I am paying now I will never pay them off.
