I got a funny collection letter in the mail yesterday. It was from RPM D/B/A Receivables Performance Management Collecting for Resurgent Capital Services who represents LVNV Funding LLC who is collecting for the original creditor Credit One Bank.

Credit One Bank is owned by the Sherman Group. Sherman group owns LVNV Funding and Resurgent Capital Services.

They really had to make a big deal in this letter didn't they, lol? Not sure if I will waste the $5 to send a DV letter but I am filing bankruptcy after the new year anyway I just don't want any surprise lawsuits handed to me. Thought I would share and see what others would do and what they think about this one.

Paul is right, name all you can,to cover yourself. Also, be careful of them, they don't play fair! They have been know to try to get judgements without others knowing about it,etc. Document everything they send you or you send. Just keep an eye out for them.

They do sue,but not sure as to how they determine that. I just know that I see them in the Legal News and them suing others, so keep an eye out until you are ready to do something..karen
