I was contacted 2 days ago by a man saying he was to serve me with papers for writing a bad check in Ohio, and attempting to defraud a company. He said he had no idea about the company and gave me a number to call. I called and spoke with a lady who told me that I had written a check at Check Advance in 2005 and it bounced. She said that if my papers hadn't been served yet we could make payment arrangements. She then told me that if it went to court it would be $1700, but if I made the arrangements it would be $400. And if I wanted to settle that day, it would only be $188.

Hi, I'm looking for help on how to deal with FSA and repaying my loan. Here's a little history: I have a defaulted private student loan debt of 14,000 with Chase bank. It went through one collection agency, back to Chase, and now I'm being called by First Source. I assume either a)First Source bought the defaulted loan from Chase bank for cheap and is trying to recover as much as it can or b)First Source is not interested in payment plans and instead are going to try and sue. Is this very likely? What would be the best way to try and get a payment plan set up?

I have been getting calls from 855-3282 the CMS Group Have you ever heard of them? who is these people? They are saying they have a civil action but don't know what they are talking about. Can you give me information on who they are.

If I know all the places I took a payday loan out online are illegal in my state, and I close my bank account so they can't debit anymore money, can they garnish my wages?

I have 6 online paday loans... If I close my bank account and get a new one (like my bank suggested) Will this stop them from debiting my account? Hello, I'm new here and already have read some valuable information however I am still unsure as to how to handle my situation. I have several online payday loans and reside in the state of Wisconsin. I'm considering doing a payday loan consolidation but not sure yet. I have talked to some of the lenders if you will and asked to offer forms of payment however it was not an amount they said they would accept. They basically wanted me to pay the same amount as the refinance charge and all added up I can't afford that.

Has anyone heard of this company they are threatening a lawsuit from a company called loan.com. they state that loan.com is a parent company and they didn't have the name of the actual company. Has anyone been served by these people
