My auto loan was charged off by my finance company 15 days ago. After 10 months of being unemployed, I have a job and want to bring the loan current. As of right now I am 4 months behind. I still have the vehicle. I've offered to pay the past due balance to the finance company over the period of one month and they have refused, Can I pay them over the course of the month anyway, bring the car note current and try to renegotiate or trade the vehicle in?
