I was served this morning with papers from Capitol One. Is there any way to tell when the last payment was made by looking at my credit report? My credit report shows the following: Sep 2011: $1,972 / October 1, 2007 / no data / no data Would this mean that Oct 1, 2007 is the date of last payment? If so then I believe the SOL is expired. I am in Arizona and the SOL was 3 years until April of 2011. Since my debt expired in Oct of 2010 would I be grandfathered in? I called the AZ AG and they said they don't interpret law. Does anyone else know?

I have to close my bank account in Texas. My account was recently compromised and money stolen from it. The theft caused my account to get overdrawn and remain that way while the bank investigates the matter. I am also in a financial crisis with both a mortgage payment and my payday loans coming due on the same day. Three are store front and three are online. One of the online ones is illegal, but the others as far as I know are not. I get paid tomorrow (Friday) and since my account will no longer be overdrawn I simply must close the account. The payday things are due Monday.

Hi guys. Here is my situation. I have a small bill around 200.00 from a hospital. I am willing to pay this bill. I believe the hospital made a mistake in the bill, but that is not the point. The point is that while I was disputing, its been put on my report. I want it off. So here is what I did. I first sent the CA a letter of settlement for the full amount. That letter was ignored. Second I sent a validation letter. That letter was ignored. Third I sent a follow up validate and remove letter to the CA, which was ignored.

Several friends and family received calls from Peachtree Law Center looking for me. They disclosed to them that they were "attempting to collect a debt for an online loan that I took out several years ago". They were asking for contact info for me. Has anyone worked with this agency. Are they legit? How do I contact them for a validation letter? When I google them it comes up with an Atlanta address and a Colorado address.... do I send to both? If you know anything I would appreciate your help.

A little over a year ago, I purchased a house (cash sale, no mortgage) which had been turned over to Fannie Mae by Citibank. Because I was moving from another state, I used my parents address (near my new home) as my mailing address for the transaction paperwork. In Sept of last year, I received and paid in full my property tax bill (about $5k). This year, Firstsource began caling my parents home, my home and my cell phone regarding an unspecified debt.
