I have a loan with these people. They're out of SD, where there is no usury cap and they're backed by a national bank (MetaBank). So, I've been stuck with this loan. Every time I think I have some extra money to pay extra, it doesn't work out. Anyway, it was a $1500 loan, 96% APR, 36 months @ $128.

I have a quick question. I've changed my bank account..."IF" a previous lender some how, some way got a hold of your new bank account number would they try to get more money out of that account? I'm just paranoid I guess, but I've satisfied all the principle amounts and was wondering if anyone ever ran into them getting a hold of your new account some how.

I am from Utah and have got myself into the worst mess with payday loans I have currently 6 loans adding up to over 3,000 dollars and can't seem to find a way out, I am barely keeping up with the min payment which is 700 a month and I'm getting behind with everything eles I can't do this anymore but I have no where to turn I need help please advice?? Due to a bout with cancer a few years ago, I ended up defaulting on a credit card. The company eventually offered a settlement to me of $600.00, which they agreed to let me pay out on 2 payments (in august and september). 2 weeks or so after paying my last payment, I received a call informing me that the person who offered me the payout had settled with me "too low", and now they want an additional $150.00. My question is, can they make me pay more money AFTER I already fulfilled my obligation to them?

What should i do? Received a late notice from my student loans holder. I'm unemployed. I know I need to contact the debt holder but... 1.What do I say? 2.What should I expect. 3.What should I have at hand (besides the bill) when I call. Etc. Thanks guys.

So i've been getting multiple calls from various area codes, and at first I wasn't answering them, but then I did just out of curiosity, it's always been someone with a heavy accent that pronounces my name wrong, I haven't had this number very long, but I was stupid enough to use it when I got some payday loans. So I started saying "Im sorry but you have the wrong number" and they quickly hang up. does this work? Will they ever stop calling? I couldnt care less, I don't care how much they call.

...phone number was 888 387 1419 - his name was Oscar Bates from the Legal Investigative Department...lawful complaint filed against my name and social security number, wants a call from me or my attorney....couldnt speak a lick of english so I had a hard time understanding what he said... should i call him back... not sure which PDL hes calling on behalf of.... what should I do now....ugh!!

Are payday loans legal in California?I have a payday loan with CashYes . I originally borrowed 400.00 and have already paid 590.00. They want another 380.00

I have sent out several C&D letters but havent gotten many responses. I am currently going back and forth with one but all the others have ignored my letters and have continued to attempt to take money although they cannot since I have closed my account. I keep getting reminders that payment is due. What is the next step I should take?

Does your company or the pdl have to send a copy of something to myself that they are going to do this??? Thanks
