I got the letter they sent where we agreed to pay what we owed to cash supply. it wasnt signed by anyone just said we agreed to pay. Had the act # from cash supply and all states case # the po box and where they are at. It was a payday loan on the internet in 2008 we did and couldnt pay it back. When they called they said they either had to have the money or we would be served with a summons in the next day or 2.

I had a Wachovia CC which was charged off in 2007. Went to CA at $1650 and they sent me offer letters every month, to an extent that finally they offered me $250 settlement. But because of bad economy i had no job and i couldn't even pay that. Finally, i think last year in November it was sold to Asset Acceptance (AA) and i have read a lot of bad things about this company. I never got any letter from them, although their Customer Rep told me they had returned mails (100% lie) from November. This June they hit my Credit Report and my Score dropped 40points.

I received a call at work yesterday from a Ms. Rivera from Copeland Law Firm. Stated there was a legal matter against me for a small amount and was wanting to know if I wanted to take care of it then. I told her to send me something in writing. She verified my email address and said she would send it and that I had until the end of today to respond. Haven't received anything yet. Ever heard of them? Can someone go straight to suing you without first notifying you in writing of their intentions. She never even said who it was on or how much.

I was in a ccc program with CareOne from October to February. I wasn't behind when I started with them but when I started to pay them my bills got behind because it took forever for the creditors to accept the proposals. So I decided to drop them which in turn now has me behind on my Sears card only. I called each one of my creditors and made arrangements with them...some gave me 0% interest until paid off (which was better then what CareOne did) but Citicard will not work with me. They now want a minimum payment of $750.00.

In April of this year the SOL for credit card debt in Arizona was changed from 3 years to 6 years. I have some credit card debt from when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2007. I was able to work enough to keep my home and utilities and make my copays at the Dr but I had nothing left after that so the credit cards were ignored. I have dealt with collection calls for years from some real jerks but I ignored them for the most part and felt some relief in May of 2010 when the SOL was expired.

I am being sued by FJH on behalf of Capital One Bank. Today they sent me copies of credit card statements with years missing in the middle with their bogus discovery. The also had someone supposedly at C1 verify their discovery docs. I have been unable to find this person by name as an employee of C1 or an attorney in the State of Virginia. However, they failed to response to Defendants request for admission of facts within 30 days, so I filed a Motion to Compel Dicovery and Deem Admitted Defendants Request for Admission of facts. Hearing is set.

Will AMO settle a debt for less than the amount owed?

I know that there have been many threads about Cashcall. But I have not seen anything about whether or not they are legal in Oregon. I got a loan from Western Sky that was sold to Cashcall. They are claiming that because I received notice of the transfer and I did not respond within the 30 days (I responded in 31 days) that I am now responsible for the bill. I know that in order for a payday loan to be legal in Oregon that the lender needs to be registered by the state. But neither Western Sky nor Cashcall are considered a payday loan.
