I live in Indiana and unfortunately several months back, I got into a bind and thought that taking out a pdl would be the answer to the financial problems I was having. Now, several months later, I am paying dearly for these pdl. Is there anything I can do about them? I've tried to pay them off, but they seem to hack into my checking account.

Hello All. I am fervently hoping you can assist me. I presently have EIGHT PDLS and took out the last one just last week so that I could pay the fees associated wth the other co's loans without bouncing anything!!! I know this is irresponsible and I am a 40 YO wife and mother and a daughter to a very ill 85 YO mom. I quit my "normal full time well paying job" to care for her in January of this year.

Hey guys, I have a question! I borrowed $650 from first rate financial in IL. Never made one payment. They start garnishing my wages for approx. $1300. The garnishment stopped. I called them and they are telling me that I still owe approx. $1600.... The interest doesn't stop until 1 year after I took the loan out, which would be August of this year.... They told me that they will start garnishing my wages again. I had some experience with another payday loan, all they did is garnish my wages for the loan I borrowed + I guess the original interest. Someone please help......

I received a letter from Quick Cash PayDay Loans informing me of a past due payday loan. They do not provide a return address only a telephone # 888-500-8790. When I do a search under this name I cannot find them either. Is there anyway I can find out the address for this company as it is evident they do not want their address disclosed since it was not on the envelope or the letter. From what I understand PDL are not legal in the state of MD so how can they charge me penalties, interest and attorney's fees. The original debt is $375.

Hi, I just joined this community and have about 6 payday loans and am not able to keep up with them....I read where it states that people should close their checking accounts....Does that mean that we shouldn't pay these loans at all? I live in MA and would like to know what the laws are regarding these types of loans. I'm desperate and would love to hear back from someone who can help. Thanks,

If a illegal payday lender is reporting on your teletrack report, can it be taken off your report? Just curious if anyone has gotten it removed.

I received a Pre-Legal notice from midland funding for a bill that I am not sure I owe. I sent a debt valadation letter and they sent one back after 30 days saying it was under investigation and on the letter was a different amount than the letter they sent the first time, is this in violation of the FDCPA? What are my next steps they are over thier time limit to valadate this debt.

So I finally received DV letter from Smith, Haynes & Watson claiming that I owe LoanPointUSA $1104.60 for a $500 loan that I paid $1656 for! OMG. I hate these people so much. :( Anyway, the letter looks pretty legit...I need to hear confirmation from you guys that LoanPointUSA IS ILLEGAL in the state of Texas because they do not have a license to lend to residents in the state of Texas...is this correct? Can someone assist me in writing a letter back to them stating that their client is illegal and that their client OWES ME A FREAKING REFUND??

i got a lone from titan group in march and i havnt been able to pay them back because my wife lost her job and we dont have enough money i keep getting calls to my work and there leaving messages saying there going to serve me tomorrow im scared i dont wanna be served at work..... what can i do?
