I took a loan out in Dec 2009 from Cash Jar for 500 bucks. They lied firstly about when the money would be deposited. Once I got the money, my next paycheck they took out the wrong amount of money. They have took out 180 in later dec, jan the same amount. I called to complain they were rude, they told me that they recorded my previous conversation but would not let me hear and just told me I was wrong. I cancelled the checking account they were using to withdrawal my money. Changed my telephone number to keep the calls down.

Okay I missed a payment with this company as I did not have money and they said now broken arrangement and they are going to contact my payroll to garnish wages. Is this legal. I live in California and I thought if wages garnished you have to go to court over it. Also I thought that only child support and back taxes were allowed for garnishment not creditors or pay day loans Does anyone know if this company is legal in california. Would appreciate any advice

Hello, I am a fresh college graduate with lots of debt and unemployed. The market is hard and I am looking, even for simple jobs that will hire me but no luck so far. Anyway, I have 3 credit cards that equal up to $4000 (Chase, Discover, and one through my credit union). My Chase card is delinquent with 30 days since my last payment. My credit union CC has a fixed payment of $20 a month and is the easiest to pay and my Discover is cheap since it has a $500 limit (most float at $40 a month). I also will be having student loans kick in around November.

I borrowed 600.00 from them have paid 900.00 in fees 180.00 every other week .Tried calling to pay off on hold for 30 minutes no one ever answer me. thinking about doing a stop payment and closing my checking account.

If I owe the state of WV for an overpayment of Unemployment and I know live in GA, can and will WV keep my federal tax refund to pay for the overpayment of Unemployment benefits that I recieved?

My son is currently in treatment and rehab for prescription drug use for 60 days as an inpatient then up to 12 months in a transitional living setting. He is trying to get disability but that has not been approved yet. Because his treatment and rehab are full time and he is restricted to 30 minutes of phone or internet time per day he has been unable to get proper advice how to take care of his bills. He has almost $15,000 dollars in unsecured outstanding loans divided between two bank loans and a credit card. He basically owns nothing but his truck.

My husband and I have come into some issues with money lately after moving and got caught up in the payday loan cycle. We currently have 3 payday loans as we seem to take out another loan to pay the bills that can't get paid from paying off a loan. It's a nasty cycle and we haven't been in it that long and I want out before it gets way out of hand. We need help and don't know where to turn.
