Is there I can consolidate theses laons. i suggested $50.00 to ACE and they denied the offer. I reside in the state of Texas. Please Help!

okay i have been looking all over the internet for an answer about Maine's Law on Payday loans. I found some that its is illegal unless they are licensed there and other that say pretty much i'm screwed. So what i'm wondering is what is the Newest law in maine? I have 2 payday loans out and i don't think any of them, from what i have found out is legal in Maine One Click Cash. Borrowed $300 have paid back $270 Ameriloan Borrowed $250 paid back $225 One click cash said i till owe $510 Ameriloan said i owe $430 ????? Can anyone help?

:confused:I had an Aspire credit card that was used one time for the amount of $89.00. I paid that off in two months. That was in 1999. Two days ago,July 2,2011, I received a garnishment notice for court for the amount of $1765.00. They turned the amount over to a law office,DOMINION LAW OF VIRGINIA BEACH,VIRGINIA claiming I never paid the 89.00 and this is all the interest since 1999.I have called the FCC trade commission,the better business bureau,and the consumer protection agency. I was told the account has run out legally but was sold to another party.Can that be legal???

We received a summons in the mail for an old card. The amount is a little over $1600, state of Maryland. We can't afford to take it to court and I don't know what to do. Should I try calling the company and making payment arrangements? I received a letter before I even received the summons from a company called Franklin Debt Solutions who, for $200 can make payment arrangements for me and handle everything, but if they can, why can't I do it myself? Just don't know where to go from here. Need help. :(

I got letter with my name. it was a court claim for money, an affidavit from CC Co stating owed 1156, and account was charged off in ordinary course of business 14 months ago. What to do? 1) I am a Jr and don't owe nothing. 2) it's my son which they have given me CC account # last 4 SS and bal. 3)I don't know were he lives.4) heard the collection co is real YKW! I guess I will mail back both also got paper in door handle state SOL as only 3 years but warrant states I must write a statement to court. My fiance surprised me with the info that she was going to either cosign a loan for her daughter or take out a PLUS. I am concerned for various reasons, seeing the potential borrowing or cosigning to hit into the 6-figures range. As residents of a community property state how does this potentially affect me after we get married? We'll have a prenup but while that will keep out credit card bills separate, will it separate student loan debt? If she cosigns and the daughter defaults, of course they'll come after my fiance but can they come after me as well?
