I'm in texas and about to default on my loan with cashcall. My loan agreement is with western sky and I have more than paid off the principal. However cashcall is who debits my account. Is there anyway to settle this note with them as western sky is not liscenced in texas. Thank you for any advice.

I received a check for $146.37 , valid for 60 days only ,I moved so i got it just last march , it's dated Jan 17 2011, I sent them copies, of the letter & check asking them to reissue the check , still no answer, what can i do ? I have filed for bankruptcy and the company Fulton Friedman said they got the papers and wiped it clean but I now need to call Midland Funding. I cannot find a number to call them should I just send them my cout papers to prove this is done so they do not try to garnish my wages?

I negotiated a settlement over the phone with the agent that called me from MCM. He kept wanting my debit card info or checking account number. I told him I would not agree to anything until he sent me the settlement IN WRITING at which time I would send a money order. He was insistent on my banking information. Because I had heard horror stories of consumers giving away their checking information or debit card info only to be charged their full balance (versus the settlement,) I refused to do so.

So, I have been searching online as a friend of mine took out one of those horribly expensive loans from Western Sky. You may have seen the commercials, they are such a scam, and she was in such need I guess she didnt really think too much into it. Anyway, she is now terrified as she has lost her job and the payments are something like 180 a month- which she cannot pay. They (western sky) told her that she cannot file bk and include them as they are an Indian reservation and a sovereign nation- is this true? How can a company lock people into a loan with no way out?

:confused:This company called me on the phone, my home phone, with the caller ID saying "Private Caller". I answered the call and they wanted proof that I did pay this loan off. I told them that I paid it off to Gateway, which was a credit collector on both accounts, payd day loans for CMG and Extra Cash Weston. CMG took $120 on a $200 loan on two different pay dates in a row, and the same with Extra Cash Weston. CMG then tried to take out more money on the same day and I closed the checking account.
