Got a call from them about an old credit card bill of my husbands. He is now totally disabled and unable to handle any of his stuff. He cannot leave the house by himself or talk on the phone. How do I handle this? He only gets SS disability. I am not responsible for the bill. Can they collect from us? Do they sue people in court?

Can a court processor try to come to your home to serve you paper work for a deliguent bill after 10 pm? I am disabled and twice in two week someone has rang my doorbell at 12 AM and at 10:30 PM. About five months ago, I recieved a phone called stating that they were calling from a collection agency and they said they are attempting to collect $300 plus dollars for an alleged debt. I told them I had no idea what they were talking about and I asked them for proof of the alleged debt. They never. Two more times, I get the phones from supposedly different agencies. Then on 5/6/11, I got a phone call from Delanor Kemper stating that he has this file on his desk and if I don't pay this debt, I would be charged with check fraud.

I live in Tallahassee, Florida and work with the Leon County Tax Collector office. Do the payroll office has to honor that letter or do they need a letter of garnishment from the Florida court system to take the money our of my paycheck.

I received a call from an unknown number from a woman claiming to be a process server that needs to schedule a date and time to serve me at my home or place of employment. She didn't leave a number but told me to call the plaintiff at 877-239-2865. She said it was due to a fraudulent check and I haven't received any communications from this company via email or on my phone until now. Can't remember having written a check that bounced either? Wrote a few when I was 18 but I have paid off every company that ever contacted me that could verify itself.

Hello i have a loan with loan pointe (getecash) and they keep calling demanding money. I asked if i could mail a payment in but they refuse only wanting me to us a debit card. They say they are going to garnishment my check and they don't have to be licensed in Oklahoma, since i searched for the loan i fall under Utah laws. How can i handle this. Also, i have repeatedly ask them not to call me at work but say they can do that also.
