Got a call on my work phone from someone and she left a message on the phone that she was sending a wage garnishment firm to my HR department. Her name is Michelle Brown-Penn and she did't tell me where she was calling from just that she was hired by Everest Cash Advance. She was rude and beligerent to me on the phone and hung up on me what can I do my job shouldn't hobnor the wage assignment of a debt collecor especially an illegal one right?

My wife and I bought a new used car and We thought we were given a good bargin. 3 days later my wife and I we notice they pushed my credit 8 different times. This sank my credit 70 pts. How are they able to do this crap.

I started getting payday loans approximately one month ago. The first lender fronted me $ 2625.00 and took out $ 100 in fees. I paid bills and used some of the cash fpr personal reasons. Next thing, I started getting call after call and several e-mails offering me payday money. Now I am almost $ 4000 in payday loan debt all in one month. I don't want to seem like I am 'reneging' on my promise but this stuff can be addicting.I could not pay my mortgage today. what have I done. I seeked help from a payday loan consolidator, closed my acct.

I am trying to pay off payday loans here. Found out I got scammed by a company and paid the wrong one. Meaning they had called me, I said oh yes I do owe that creditor and I paid them. I called the original creditor and they told me they sold it to another company national credit adjustors. I called them and they told me "we have no files or debts on you." Okay, so what now? Then I get a call from Thomas and bella associates, made a payment with them only to research them and find out I could have been scammed. Ugh. I hate it when I try to do good it backfires.

My wages are currently being garnished for an old Discover Card debt. Once I have paid in full, can I have the judgement and negative account information removed from my credit report? If not, how long does it stay on my credit report? Thank you very much!:razz:

Hello All, Quick question. I received a phone call from DARE LLC out of Florida. They claim I took a payday loan out in 2007 from National Cash Advance in Ohio. They told me I was involved in a check fraud investigation for not paying this back and having the check return "several" times NSF. They said it was going to be turned over to the "local" courts, though which court,Ohio or Florida, they didn't say. They said they would put in a request for a letter of validity but that doesn't mean it would stop the "process" of sending my file on. Should I be scared about jail for this?

I am looking at possibilties for settling my payday loans, but for this month can I put a stop payment on the ACH transfers so I have time to work somethign out. I would contact the lenders as well and let them know what I am doing.

I just found this forum and it is great! I received a judgement today for a credit card (Capital One) from a lawyer office. I looked up my credit and this is from year 2001 which shows as charged off. I live in the state of florida. I was under the impression based on the Florida Statue you cannot be sued after five years. Can someone help? Thank you.
