I finalized bk in 2009 in california. I did not reaffirm 1st mortgage BUT reaffirmed the 2nd. I am considering a short sale or deed in lieu of foreclosure and been current on both mortgages since bk. I have put my condo on the market as a short sale and am wondering if that is the best route to take vs deed in lieu of foreclosure. Also, I am concerned about the debt I reaffirmed of $60k on the second (which was refinanced since the purchase date of the property prior to bk) if I am at all liable to pay that debt after doing short sale or deed in lieu of foreclosure.

Hi! I was hoping you could give me some advice. I owe a debt to Avon of about $260 or so, and started receiving calls from Allied Data Corp with no voicemails left. I called them back and told them I couldn't pay, but if I changed my mind or found the funds, I would call them back and make arrangements. I finally agreed I would, so I called them and created payment arrangements. I gave them my bank acct info and that was that.

I have about five loans out right now (may be off) and I've previously posted about them. No defaults - I have 3 or 4 who are $30 short of being paid off, one (FloBridge) who actually would owe me $100 because the loan was for 500 and they took 600. The other one just needs to be paid off but the payment (90 dollars) didn't go through so they are saying I owe $200-something (90+90+30). Thing is I have no problem paying them but only what I owe them. But in reading some of the things posted, it doesn't appear they will do right on their end.
