I have 6 charge offs on my credit report. Everything else on the report is listed current. I figure as I have some extra money I should try to settle those 6 accounts first and then go after the rest of my debt. My question is does anyone know the "typical" settlement amount for the following creditors? Spring Leaf (former American General) HSBC (Financial Recovery Services C.A.) Cap One Credit Card (Client Services C.A.) Law office of Joe Pezzuto (they purchased my cap one loan) BOA (still with BOA, hired a C.A.- I disputed and the C.A.

Can u modify a loan with negative equity in ur home if we earn more then 100k per year?

I have pulled up my credit report for all 3 companies and have found the same thing being reported multiple times. I had a store card in 2004 and have seen it brought up 6 times on my report, shouldn't it only be once since I only had 1 card?

Here is my situation. I owe about $7500 on Citi card. I lost my job in Jan 2010 and I stopped paying credit card from Oct 2010 after all my savings exhausted. Citibank sent me settlement offer (40%) in and I made a counter offer of 25% (that's the best I can come up with help from friends). As I waiting for approval, 10 days I got a call from Client Services (1800-521 3236) who said they got my file from Citibank.

My wages have begun being garnished by Sallie Mae since Feb. 1 2011.I was never taken to court for the wage garnishment, the personnel dept. called me in to let me know of this change in my payroll status. Should I have had concerns about not being court ordered, I have never been through a situation such as this. I contacted General Revenue Services and began the rehabilitation program. I was told they would garnish 10% not 15% with a payment of $50. The amount would be $130 plus 50. Well the first wage garnish was $240 and I had given the $50.

This is alot to stomach but I need advice. I had directv and when we moved my landlord came outside while they were about to install and he told them they can not drill in his home or anywhere on his property. Ok so they initially charged me a cancellation fee in which I fought and they retratcted this only after going into my bank account and taking $367.34. I was communicating back and forth and it should not have cone out.

So I finally got a response from the BBB regarding Detex Agency & Associates. They explained t othe BBB that they are not proceeding and have turned the account back over to mypaydayloan.com. I guess the illegal finally came out and they don't want any problems!

Greetings all, I recently requested validation from a ca on a couple of entries on my credit report. The amounts were $40 and $60 for both of these accounts from the same oc. The ca sent me a typed page (from them, not from the oc) stating this was validation and both debts were verified. The page states that no interest or other penalties were added, but shows that both accounts ($40 and $60) added together equals $197 now due!

I owe bank of america $10,900 and I used to be in credit counseling but I can no longer afford the payment. I would like to settle but BofA said that I am not eligible for a settlement. I am 4 months behind. They said that my debt could be accelerated. What does that mean?
