Recently, I got a summons in the mail stating Capital One was suing me for $1,150. It said "You are being sued in Small Claims Court". Problem is, it had been sent to my old address and I received this AFTER the scheduled court date. Naturally, a few days later I got a Judgement in the mail saying I owed the full amount, plus court costs. Aren't I supposed to be served by a Constable? Isn't this supposed to come in certified mail or something? Have a raised seal? They can just send a summons to my old address saying I'm suddenly being sued?

Served with a lawsuit from CACH LLC, had asked for validation and all they sent were copies of statements from the origional creditor, nothing else with amount owed, interest rate and how it was figured and what % or proof that they were authorized to collect the debt etc. What is or should our next step be. It is a medical debt and we are willing to settle it but, not for all the money that they are saying we owe. A Littlle help please.

i've received a phone call from a man that claim he's call from patric baller attorney law firm that represent for united cash,which's i owed them $500 and $300 intersted otherwise if i am not respond then they will file a lawsuit,i was suprise that i never borrow any money from this company,but what i've heard that a lot of people say this a scam so need a advise even i call back this number and nobody answer thanks:confused:
