Hello, I have recently discovered that i have a few medical bills that were sold to collections on my credit report. They have been there less than two years. Of course getting worked up about this, i spoke with a creditor and made a 250 dollar payment to a total balance of about 3 grand. I Just want this off of my credit report. Even though i made this small payment, can i send them a letter telling them that they are not legally allowed to access my credit report without my permission and to remove these accounts off of it? or will i need to settle.

I want to know will I get a settlement letter from the collection agency after a debt is settled? How will I know that the debt is settled?

I have heard that one shouldn't do financial transactions from a public computer. But, is it true when I have password in every account. Even if I have to access a public computer, what precautions do I need to take?

Do I have to make transactions every month or quarter so that my account remains active. Usually an account is declared inactive after how many days?

Is there any difference between consolidating and refinancing student loans?

Is it possible to negotiate with the card issuer to extend the low interest period on a balance transfer card? If yes, then what do I need to do?

I have a couple of installment and lines of credit with extremely high interest rates and outrageous terms, similar to PDL's. The company is Advance Financial. Are these type lenders treated like PDL's in that I can stop their collection activities by sending a cease and desist letter? Are these companies treated the same way legal way as PDL's?

Is there anything called as the most suitabgle budget? Is there any percentage or amount that I need to save per month to call it as a successful budget?

I am still dealing with a few lenders and they show that they have a licence in Wisconsin to lend, however I have read in here that Rise Credit is tribal? Is that true? They do have a license to lend in Wisconsin. Another one that I am still paying on is RSVP loans, they also have a licence to lend in Wisconsin and I have paid well over what I have borrowed so far and it is all in interest, the principal has barely been touched. Am I better to let this default and only pay back the principal? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
