I have an account in collections from Verizon Wireless. Ive heard all sorts of bad things about them. I had no idea there were suits against them. I haven't paid in over a year, I told them then on the phone that I could not afford the bill for charges they could not explain. I made several calls to them before leaving them asking them to explain the charges to me which they could not do. Well since then I have learned more about my rights and my credit. Now the debt is with a collection agency. What should I do? What if they try to sue me? Yes I have (had) several other debts.

Can anyone point us in the right direction? We live in a condo and own it free and clear but have been turned down twice for home equity loans. We are only looking to borrow 25k which is less than 33% LTV based on a recent appraisal.

I'm going thru financial hardship and I feel like giving up. I have about 3 store up front loans and I think I still have 14 pdl loans. I'm always stressing out on how to pay them. I admit I pay them as I go and once I can afford it. It is difficult for me and I need help. Pls Pls help me. I feel like I'm going to jail.

I got a payday loan in 2009 I paid on it up until I lost my job. I asked them to work with me on payment arragements. they never did. I have been unemployed for over a year now and a single mother of 2. The company they hired to collect has called me yesterday 4-18-2011 and said that between the hours of 12-5 they are going to serve me papers at my work or at home. I called them back and asked again to work out a payment arragement, they came back and said no. What can I do? The company I got the loan from was EZ Money.:confused:

I just received verification letter from a lawyer, debt collector including a letter from original creditor(OC). In a letter by OC, he is requesting $300 instead of $520 as requested in original validation letter within 10 days and threatening to add 18% interest if I don't pay him $300 in within 10 days. Is it legal to request to pay in 10 days? I thought I have 30 days to response to the verification letter?

Here's my situation: From 2006 to 2008, I was homeless and was experiencing an involuntary marital separation (locked out of home) and then a divorce. I was not able to secure permanent housing until 11/08. I incurred a lot of debt. During this time, I had to refinance a secured loan that I had with my ex-husband from one loan to 2 because he did not want to pay his portion. Since I was living out of my vehicle and they were threatening to take it aware, I freaked and signed another loan agreement that hiked the interest rate to like 29% and tacked on and additional $2000 in finance charges.

I received 2 identically worded letters from Bluebonnet Financial Assets/ Niermann and Olivo concerning 2 diff. CC debts. Total combined debt is less than 3k. The letters basically say that if I don't pay 80% of the total amount in a lump sum or make monthly payments, they're going to file suit. Frankly, I could afford the monthly payment they're asking for (although its now past the 14 day window they gave me to accept the deal and I doublt they would play nice) but I am very wary of signing my name to anything having to do with this firm which is AKA Ariel Financial.

i recently disputed hard inquiry on my credit report, they verified as accurate, it is non permissable outside sol and company not listed in my credit report. what steps to sue? what to do now, i sent letter certified to cra, still verified it as true, help

i have 2 accounts medical on my credit report. date opened 10/2004 and date reported 1/2005, it said on the credit report go on record until march 2011, but they are still there and the cra wont take off, what should i do now? how long can they appear and what date are they going by to take it off, on the opened or reported, the accounts were never paidon at all. also, i have a new medical collections for $34.00 just appeared, is there any amount to be recorded onto credit report like 50.00? is this legal for such a small amount?

i have an internet payday loan for 500$ and i live in TN. I have paid 300$ as interest for the first month. Then, i lost my job and I dint pay anything on it for two months. Now, they say i need to pay 850 in total. Are they legally allowed to lend loans in TN and shall i get settlement from them.They call me everyday and threaten me saying they gonna file lawsuit. please guide me.
