I have a collections on my credit report. This was very stupid of me but I wasn't very financially responsible at this time. It was in the amount of $47.00 to BMG Music Service and the collection was from Torres Crdit. I had paid for this at the time. Is there any way that I can get this taken off of my credit report. It is killing my report for only a $47.00 collection. Thank you for your time.

these people keep callling me and refuse to provide a mailing address and today contacted a relative and told them need to serve me for a bad check...whatever that's the d.a. job..and you don't need to call me to serve papers show up and serve me. anyway I can't find a address or any info on them. the number is 1-888-209-8712 the acs group is what the recording states. the guy name I spoke with is mr.edwards it was a woman calling my job and relative. any info thanks

I have two debts in collection on my credit report. Both have reached the California SOL (4 years), I now live in California. The debts were incurred in Hawaii where the SOL is 6 years, which has not passed. Which SOL applies?:confused:

I live in Arizona and have 3 payday loans through the internet totaling around $1600. The 3 companies are paydaymax, mycashnow, and advancemetoday. I know Arizona law states there is no payday loans allowed. But since this is done over the internet can I legally stop paying on them. I have already paid 600 on a 300 loan with advancemetoday and still owe 200. I am about even with -paydaymax in the amt of fees and principle and still owe 500 on a 620 loan. Mycashnow -I have paid 600 in fees on a 800 loan. Can I just pay back the principle on these and call it a day?

What consequence can collection agencies face if they don't follow the fdcpa rules. Can any action be taken against them?
