i owe 68,000 on a home equity loan on a house that was forclosed on 5 years ago,at the time i was single so everything was in my name,now im married and we have joint bank account,my wife is employed and i have been on unemployment for 18 months,in the state of ohio,the bank is trying to garnish any amount above 400 in my account,i know they cant take my unemployment and my wife is not responsible for the debt,the magestrait continued the case and wants me to bring bank statements showing wifes deposits and my unemployment deposits,she didnt say how far back i had to go with this any answers

i just wanted to give this information to everyone in case you may not know. One of the lenders Mypaydayloan.com the company that operates out of Costa Rica but gave the BBB a South Plainfield, NJ address. I filed another complaint with a new agency the BBB couldn't find them like the NJ address they gave so I had to file another compliant with econsumers.gov they deal with companies overseas. I just wanted to pass on the information because a few of these lenders are in other countries operating illegally.

I live in Ohio. Both my husband and I are really in trouble with payday loans. Each of us have at least three internet loans and at least 3 storefront loans. We have defaulted on all of them. We just cant get out of the cycle. We have not tried to take any loans out since for obvious reasons. We had to close our checking account because these payday loan lenders drained our account to the point that we don't have any funds left to even negotiate with them. The collectors that we have spoken to were so nasty and stated that we had no other choice but to pay them off completely NOW!

Hi, recently I posted that I was served with a Summons by Ferrell and Seldin for a Midland Credit collections company. I was told that if there was no case number most likely they had not even filed the case yet and to send a letter for validation. I did check with my local court and they in fact had not filed the summons. I sent a letter of validation to Ferrell and Seldin and to Midland Credit collections on March 7th certified mail with a return receipt. They received and signed for the letter of validation on March 8th.
