I got a settlement offer last year but under circumstances that i was not living in the free world i couldnt settle it ,plus the date they gave me till may 15,2010 was already past when i got home so will they still honor this settlement of 88.20 that is making it impossible to get a bank account

I have a credit score of 572. I have a few small amount utitliy bills from my youth and a car that was repossed and it says that the account was open on 6/1/2004. And i owe like 5,000 on the car. On my credit report it says payment status; charged off what does that mean? And the account status says closed. And I really have no "good credit on my report should I pay of some of that bad?

I have two unsubsidized loans that I have been paying on for over 10 years and the principal is just not going down! Now I get a notice from Wells Fargo that ACS has taken over the loans. Does this mean they sold them? The loans were for University of Phoenix which did me no good even though I got a bachelor's degree. Have been out of work 2 years and back in a REAL school on an unemploymentt scholarship but what to do about the original loans! In the state of Florida can I walk away from them since they are well over 5 years old?

I consolidated my student loans (including federal loans) through an income contingency program with the government. Under the terms of repayment based on my income my minimum monthly payment was always nothing.

247 Green st. sent me a letter saying they will accept the principal balance owed and they have ceased all communication because of my complaint. I will work on sending it they were like just send the principal and we are all good. I have had my first paycheck to actually pay bills and it feels so good. So that's 2 lenders down and more to go. I didn't get the call from the chick at the Detex agency like she claimed i would get.
