i live in El Paso, Texas and got a car title loan in Sunland Park, New Mexico. I got a loan for 300 dollars i have been paying it for a long time and hadn't even brought my balance down. Until one day i got in a car accident, the car was totaled and i went disabled for 6 months. I stopped making the loan payments. I called them to let them know of my situation and they kept telling me they would call back and they never did. I didnt even get any letters in the mail regarding my late payments.

Hi, I just found this site yesterday by Googling around, and am so happy for that. I live in CA and am on both SSI ($4 only a month, lol) and SSDI ($861/mo.). Just into this new month, I am so broke, having paid out $326 in fees and not managing to pay anything of any of the loans' "principals." Had utilities to pay for, so they wouldn't get shut off. I have 8 pdls out, one of which is an ipdl. The ipdl is very new, just about three months old now ($150 loan, $45 fees). Then there are: - three loans at $300/each (or $45/mo. fees), - two loans at $235/each (or $35/mo.

so sorry to sound rude but for 2 days i left this message i did and ach post dated check for 150.00 to creditors interchange it did not clear they deposited it sunday at midnight instead of monday afternoon it did not clear now they are telling me i worote and bad check either pay 3,000 or they will press charges please advise ,

received a call on my cell phone (which i had never used in any pass financial business) from a woman claim to be collecting money i owe to frontier financial (debt was to HSBC originally) and told me they are presently working on a litigation with Rovo and Assoc. unless i agree to pay. I do owe HSBC, however, I read so may bad reports online stating they are scam which leaves me scared and uncertain about keeping my promise to pay them... what should i do? I am struggling fiancially but am willing to make payment arrangements with them to prevent being sued.

I called the Attorney General's Office, and they referred me to the Consumer Complaint hotline. The gentleman I spoke to there said there is no such thing as an illegal lender...or rather, they are only illegal if they have a Texas address but are not registered as a CSO. Can anyone please clarify if internet payday lenders are illegal in Texas??? I have taken action, and now I am scared that I am actually in the wrong to do so!!! :(

Can anyone answer a couple of questions for me? 1. Are the offices of Ed Overcash a reputable company or bottom feeders? The way they handled themselves seemed a little shady. 2. How can I determine if Think Cash (installment lender) is licensed to lend in KY and what my local laws are regarding installment lender on the internet? I found out the Pay Day One is illegal in KY and since both are affiliated with Think Cash I want to do my homework. Any information is much appreciated.
