Gibmom1 needs help I was in a need of a loan fast due to medical reasons so I came across cash call I received the loan but can not afford there payments I tried to make other arrangements but no go they have been harassing my co workers even my boss by getting his private cell number and contacting him and telling my business . They where asked to stop call my work because I worked graveyards and I was not there at the time no go on that either. Now they r taking me to small clams . What can I do I live in California

i have old sandpointcapital loan that i thought was paid off. Its been almost a year ago. Its been sent to collections but i havent gotten nothing in 6 months. I live in kentucky internet paydayloans are illegal. They have threaten me with a summons.. Can they send me a summons. I had someone get in my bank account illegaly last year. I was served by the sherif the other day . LVNV is taking us to court over a cerdit card we defaulted on .I was told by the sherif to submit a reply. I do not know what a reply is! We owe , we admit we owe. I do not believe we owe the amount they are saying, Should we call them & settle? OR what should we do. I would like to avoid court, if possible . We are at a point now where we are able to & want to pay our debts. We would also like to clear up our credit .

I sent the email for dealing with illegal lenders and got a response. Hoping someone can help me with responding back to them. The company is Paradise Cash Advance. Here is what they sent me: "Yes those are the laws in your state, but the contrat that you signed was over the internet and per the contract that you signed you agreed to abide by the laws of the west indies where the bank is located. If you wish I can send you another copy of the loan agreement that you signed." I believe that's the typical response that I've read on these forums. So what do I say now?

Hi, My husband has/had an account with Capital One in the amount of 2600. He is a medical student and we live on student loans. He could not pay the credit card and defaulted on his payments. We have been trying for scholarships to help, but nothing is working out. Basically, we are paying 140 mo. to a debt consolidation agency. originally capital One would not "accept" the amount we wanted to pay but came back at 140 per month. We accepted and have been paying that amount. Then we get paperwork from Gerald E. Moore stating they are suing us and there is a civil action number.

How do I go about going to court without an attorney? My court date is next week and I dont know what to do. I cant afford an attorney and Im afraid my house is at risk. They are inflating the amount I owe by several thousand, and I dont trust making a settlement with them from all the stories online. A free law service filed the summons response for me but they are not representing me. Do I just ask for verification of debt in front of the judge? Please help.
