Nelly, I've had a personal experience with Preferred Financial. I was first contacted online about their services. They signed me up for the school loan deferment program, where they do the legwork to consolidate my school loans. They were to wait and take a payment out two weeks after sign-up. Within a day or so before actually doing anything for me, I found out that I could get an in school deferment. They quickly withdrew the money from my account.

Hello, I currently have $30k in unsecured c/c debt and am current in all payments to date. I am in the process of refinancing my home and have not made mortgage payments for 4 months. I have just entered into the 3 month trial payment period with my lender. I just received a $15K bonus check from my work and would like to pay down/off my credit as much as possible or possibly a settlement. I do not make enough to afford both my c/c and mortgage payments so I need to make a serious dent in lowering/erasing my c/c debt with my bonus.

I will try to be quick. Purchased home in WA from wells fargo with 1st being fixed rate, second being a HELOC used as purchase money. We were very quickly transferred for work to Oregon. We were completely current with both house payments for five years. But soon was impossible since we were now paying rent in Oregon as well as WA mortgage. Tried to apply for short sale, but HELOC would not agree. They wanted to be payed in full (aprox $55,000) to agree to sign off lein since we had become deliquint.

Fia Bankamerica is giving me a $2,500 credit line on my new card. I asked them what the annual fee is and if there were other fees. They said just a $39.00 annual fee. Is this true or not?????

So, I finished up creating my DV letter to send off to National Credit Adjusters concerning an account from LoanPointUSA that they had purchased. They want to charge me $1000 and have given me no paperwork showing how they got that number. I hadn't gotten a chance to send it out yet...but low and behold, some lady from NCA calls up my job today looking for me. I'm a waiter and we had just opened the doors and I had three tables to greet when someone told me I had a call. I picked it up quick and it was NCA.

Received multiple calls from them. After much research it appears their call may have had some merit because someone had opened an account that we weren't aware of. Once you settle on an amount all of the sudden new hidden fees appear. Also the amount of the debt that was purchased from Capital One was much lower then what they wanted from us. We received this info from our credit report. I deal with lawyers every day on professional matters but this group is anything but professional. I hope what goes around comes around for this group.
