I have a new credit card I'm one day late on my payment I called was on hold for 30minutes still on hold want to make payment is there another way to pay

Hi all, I'm new to the group and have a situation that I hope I can get some advice on. I had an unsecured loc with HFC that following some issues wound up in default and eventually charged off. Although already charged off, I was working with HFC to pay an agreed upon settlement and ran out of time(I am disabled and unemployed following a serious accident). I had a balance of $1,500 left on settlement. I recently received a letter from HFC dated 1/26/11 stating that my account had been "sold, transferred and assigned" to S&P Asset LLC.

I have settled with Midland Funding, LLC and I received a letter from the IRS stating I owed them money due to this settlement. If I can't claim the high interest they charged how come they think this is a capital gain?

I had a mortgage with Coutnrywide. They went belly up and sold out to Bank Of America. We I lost my job it took me a long time to find another one. I was 9 months behind by the time I foudn another job. I dipped into my 401k and gave them all I could (due to the limits a new law put on withdrawls) which was 6 months worth of payments. I made an arrangement to begin payming my full payment the beginging of each month and to send a weekly amount so that every month i would pay and additional 1/2 payment. I have sent every payment promised.

Any tips on dealing with this collection agency? I received a letter that my account from HSBC had been purchased by Atlantic Credit. I contacted them today and cut to the chase regarding a settlement offer. I offered 5,000.00, they sent me an email with an offer of 7681.06. Any suggestions for further steps...negotiations, etc. This is the first acct. that I have ever had taken to collections. Thanks.

This is the first I had heard from ER Solutions, I know that I owe a bill and they weren't rude. I just need to know after giving them all of my credit information that they are legit.

I received notification via mail that my hsbc card in the amount of $10.972.94 had been turned over to John P Frye, who has a client named Atlantic Credit & Finance. I contacted them via telephone. Basically, they sent me an email offer of settlement of the account in the amount of $7,681.06 (with a deadline of Wed. to accept the offer). I have never been turned over to collections, but to due to various financial setbacks, it happened. Do I settle, take time...what? Any assistance would be beneficial. Thanks, Inirene

Somebody call me from your company saying that i old some money to verizon company, but i never had this company on me; how i deal with it?

I just received a letter back from LTD Financial Services in response to me asking them to validate the debt. Here is what they said..... We are in receipt of your correspondence. Enclosed is a copy of your validation request. This request and any questions regarding your account should be directed tot he original creditor.

i told them that only get my money on the 3of every month i used prepaid card to pay my loan to them with that i only take $60.00 off of it i depoist it into my sister checking account today i be use that same account next month for $120.00 then next for $180.00 be done with it they didnt even want hear that the lady was rude with me
